It’s Talk Like a Pirate Day at the market! Come on down and try one of these phrases on for size:
- Arrrr, gimme the swill!
- Ahoy, me Hearties!
- Batten down the hatches!
Or come up with your own! Anyone who talks like a pirate can plunder the coffee pot and kids can plunder the treasure chest. We’ll have live music with Marilyn Kirby.
If you see our favorite pirate Fred or his Tug 44 tell him thanks for supporting Pirate Day and check out tug44.org for pirate shenanigans and more conventional vessels along New York’s waterways.
It’s Tugboat Roundup time! Visit Waterford this weekend, September 11th, 12th and 13th for tug tours, boat rides, family fun, live music, fireworks and the farmers market! The market is two days this weekend at Lock 2, along with a boat show and other activities. Visit tugboatroundup.com for more information.
